Klyde Warren Park
This park is a gem of Dallas and I hope that if the Trinity River project ever comes to fruition (which voters approved in a bond measure in 1998) they will use Klyde Warren as a model.

They had a couple of food trucks that were definitely worth trying, a playground for kids to play and several families took blankets to sit on the grass and have themselves a picnic. Bring your football, frisbee or dog and come enjoy the park.
Experience Summer in the Center of Dallas
My family enjoys visiting Klyde Warren Park. Expect it to be busy, it usually is a popular destination. There are bathrooms on-site, a playground, space for a picnic, limited tables and chairs, and lawn games and building blocks available.
Construction of the park was funded through a public, private partnership including $20 million in bond funds from the city of Dallas, $20 million in highway funds from the state and federal government through TxDOT, and nearly $50 million from private donations. The biggest contributor was businessman Kelcy Warren who gave $10 million to the project; the gift gave him naming rights which he used to name the park after his then-nine-year old son.[7] In March 2009, the Park was selected to receive $16.7 million in stimulus funds that were specifically for transportation enhancement construction.
Klyde Warren Park is home to signature restaurant Savor, as well as Savor’s companion kiosk Relish, and hosts Food Truck Lane, presented by CBS 11.
Tips for planning your visit
First time at this park and it was nice, crowded but nice. I will say it’s a lot smaller then I imagined however it is worth going to weather living or visiting Texas.
The food trucks are a nice touch. This visit we had some bbq and tacos for a snack and the kids all the custom ice cream sandwich food truck. The food truck selection varies. You can take the McKinney Ave Trolley from the park and it’ll return you to the park in about 1 hour. It’s a fun experience if you have time to kill.

The complex design was led by two design firms, landscape architecture by The Office of James Burnett, and structural engineering by the Jacobs Engineering Group, Inc. The design and construction of the park were managed by Bjerke Management Solutions. The head engineer on file is Mir Hadi Ali, P.E. from Jacobs Engineering Group, Inc.
Don’t Miss at Klyde Warren Park
Arts District Dallas This place was amazing before they completely turned it into a dog park. When the ark was first built I saw it as a romantic spot with so much potential. I saw my booking for a wedding. But imagine stepping in dog crap on turf.
What is it, you ask? A park in the middle of the city. Unlike other parks in the middle of cities, it’s not trying to obscure the city. I always think of it as having the feel of the rooftop at the end of Vanilla Sky.
This is a great place for families, couples, anyone. There are water features and places for kids to play. Open spaces for adults to throw the ball around. Tons of seating for hanging out and people watching. Food trucks are available if you get hungry or thirsty.
For the littles, there is a playground, treehouse and interactive water feature! Free WiFi is also abundant and they have free concerts in the evenings and we even caught an impromptu breakdance battle.
